This project is based off of the original fairytale "BlueBeard's Castle" by Charles Perrault. I reinterpreted it by staging it in a 'Victorian Circus' Theme. I turned BlueBeard into a circus sideshow, who is a Bee-Bearder with Blue Carpenter Bees; hence the name 'BlueBeard'. Using my design, together with fellow students; we made a full size (1:1 scale) Film Set; with a lighting rig & sound system.
Some of the items in the set include Bees, a Beehive, A Mirror, Bottles, a Small Stove and Custom Posters. I also created the soundscape played when exhibiting this. I concealed a speaker in the beehive (which played a hive sound effect) and another in the basket (which played the circus ambiance). I then mixed the two in stereo accordingly.
